The latest drilling targeted the northern end of the Western Corridor, known as the Yellow Brick Road, which hosts a series of old gold workings from Queen of Poland in the north through Landed at Last to Golden Treasure Deeps in the south.
Arika Resources (ASX:ARI) says drilling has linked shallow extensions of historic workings while opening up new parallel and cross-cutting lodes for follow-up.
Managing director Justin Barton said the company completed 100 RC holes for almost 15,000m since drilling restarted in January, giving Arika a clearer view of Yundamindra’s broader potential.
“Most of the results reported in this announcement are from the Western Corridor – which we like to refer to as our ‘Yellow Brick Road’ because of the vast number of historical gold occurrences and workings located along the entire prospective strike extent,” Barton said.
“The purpose of much of this drilling was to step-out quite aggressively from the known mineralisation to see if we could establish continuity of mineralisation over a significant area.”
Barton said the work validated Arika’s approach and supported further drilling north and south of Landed at Last, where multiple historical workings remain to be tested.
“We feel confident that with ongoing focused drilling we will continue to join the dots, connecting the string of old mines, and significantly extend the zone of mineralisation,” he said.
The latest results point to a broader lode system at Landed at Last, with mineralisation now showing up across several structures rather than one isolated zone.
At Queen of Poland, Arika reported hits including 27m at 0.99g/t gold from 69m, 11m at 1.76g/t from 62m, 23m at 0.91g/t from 69m and 20m at 0.66g/t from 75m.
The Main structure returned 15m at 0.96g/t from 107m and 10m at 1.41g/t from 156m, while F1 delivered broader intercepts, including 61m at 0.70g/t from 80m, 41m at 0.49g/t from 153m and 3m at 2.94g/t from 49m.
F0 also returned 27m at 0.35g/t from 32m and 4m at 1.78g/t from 126m, while early results from Pennyweight Point in the Eastern Corridor included 5m at 0.84g/t from 90m and 7m at 0.64g/t from 18m.
Arika says one of the key takeaways is the identification of previously unrecognised gold-bearing structures above and below the main Landed at Last lode.
That gives the company a broader structural model to work with, where multiple parallel and cross-cutting lodes could add scale as drilling continues.
Arika is pushing Yundamindra toward a maiden mineral resource estimate after completing 100 RC holes for 14,752m across the Yellow Brick Road and Red Brick Road trends since drilling restarted in January.
Drilling has now paused while assays are reviewed, with rigs expected to return in June and metallurgical work continuing on samples from Landed at Last and Pennyweight Point.
The project sits 65km south-west of Laverton in the prolific Laverton Greenstone Belt, which has produced more than 28Moz of gold.
The latest results suggest Yundamindra is moving beyond a collection of isolated historical workings, with modern drilling now demonstrating continuity across a meaningful stretch of strike.
