Auravelle Metals (ASX:AUV) broke its results down into 1-metre samples to gain a clearer understanding of mineralisation at Sheoak, confirming broad, high-grade gold intersections over a zone of at least 600m.

Results of note included 21m at 3.1g/t Au from 54m, containing a higher-grade component of 3m at 10.5g/t.

Overall, results peaked at 1m at 20.2g/t Au, with a 1m at 3.0g/t result 200m south of the main mineralised envelope reinforcing the prospect’s size.

Auravelle managing director Andrew Muir said Sheoak continued to deliver excellent gold numbers, producing high gold grades and broad intersections.

“Drilling to date at Sheoak has reinforced the significant potential of the system, with strong grades and widths intersected within a +600-metre-long zone of gold anomalism,” he said.

“Auravelle’s results to date support our view that the Nuckulla Hill Project has outstanding potential to host significant gold mineralisation, with Sheoak just one of a number of prospects located within the large Yarlbrinda Shear Zone – the key gold-hosting structure in the region.”

The Sheoak gold zone remains open for further exploration to the north, south and at depth, and the company intends to follow-up its resampling with another round of RC drilling at Sheoak.

Auravelle is pursuing an aggressive program of groundwork and exploration activity across its gold projects.

“With the next round of RC drilling at Sheoak due to commence in the coming weeks to in-fill and extend the known mineralisation, followed by a discovery-focused air core drilling program, we will be delivering a strong period of activity, results and news-flow from this outstanding gold project,” Muir said.

The company is preparing to begin infill and extensional RC drilling at Sheoak and other prospects by the start of the second quarter, with discovery-focused aircore drilling to follow by mid-Q2.

AUV also plans to complete another RC drilling program across Nuckulla Hill this year, as well as a maiden site visit and sampling program at the Skye gold project in South Australia, soil sampling at the Crown gold project in WA, and several heritage surveys across its South Australian projects.
