Reverse circulation holes will also be drilled at Sheoak East and other targets as an early-stage follow-up.
Previous drilling at Sheoak returned broad, high-grade gold with intervals such as 21m grading 3.1g/t Au from a down-hole depth of 54m including 3m at 10.5g/t and 5m at 5.8g/t from 82m including 1m at 20.2g/t.
Gold anomalism at Sheoak extends over a strike of at least 600m and the prospect remains open along strike and at depth.
Auravelle Metals (ASX:AUV) managing director Andrew Muir said previous work at Sheoak demonstrated the fertility of the Yarlbrinda Shear outside of the large Tunkillia deposit while highlighting the outstanding growth opportunities.
“AUV’s pending RC program will test the potential of a number of targets, in addition to Sheoak for bedrock mineralisation,” Muir said.
“Work to date at Sheoak East has demonstrated the potential for similar such mineralisation given the early-stage results to date and the +400m strike of anomalism, combined with a lack of deep drilling.
“Further updates on additional RC drill targeting should be finalised shortly.
“Beyond the pending RC program, Auravelle will look to do a larger scale regional discovery focused aircore program, testing multiple targets identified from the recent detailed magnetic study, structural targeting review and soil sampling.”
Nuckulla Hill is one of three projects the company holds in the Central Gawler Craton, which also holds significant plays such as Barton Gold’s (ASX:BGD) Tunkillia deposit that hosts 1.6Moz of gold and its Challenger mine, which produced more than 1Moz between 2002-18 and still holds 313,000oz of gold.
AUV’s project consists of a single granted exploration licence covering 465km2.
In March 2026, results from RC drilling at Sheoak confirmed the presence of broad, high-grade gold over a strike of at least 600m, returning assays of up to 20.2g/t.
AUV is progressing an aggressive program of groundwork and exploration that includes an update on additional RC drill targeting and upcoming aircore drill targeting at Nuckulla Hill.
This will lead to the planned infill and extensional drilling to test high-grade mineralisation at Sheoak and other prospects.
Other work includes discovery-focused aircore drilling at Nuckulla Hill.
The company is also preparing to carry out soil sampling at the Crown gold project in WA.
