Auravelle Metals (ASX:AUV) says the drilling program has generated multiple gold targets worth following up with more drilling, intersecting over a two-kilometre, north-south striking gold anomalism.
AUV managing director Andrew Muir said the company was pleased with the results from its first drilling at Crown, which covered fertile geological structures associated with large gold systems nearby.
“The aircore program has confirmed and extended multiple areas of gold anomalism within the project,” Muir said.
“The anomalism is present over large areas, in multiple locations, and is at least 2km long in the central area. Several targets have already been identified for deeper follow-up drilling.
“An additional aircore program is scheduled for early in the New Year, with follow-up RC drilling to be planned once all results are in.”
Most of the gold mineralisation was encountered toward the bottom of the drillholes, indicating there may be a supergene gold halo sitting above primary gold mineralisation in the fresh, untested rock.
The gold anomaly also remains open in both directions for further exploration.
The Crown gold project sits just 45km east of the premier mining town of Kalgoorlie, sandwiched between several gold deposits with similar geology and structural features.
Some of the geological structures at Crown show strong similarities to those within Black Cat Syndicate’s (ASX:BC8) Majestic mining centre, which hosts more than 500,000oz of gold just 5km to the north of the Crown project.
BC8 is actively mining both at Majestic and at the nearby Fingals deposit (275koz) to the southwest of Crown.
Besides the strong evidence of regional prospectivity, Crown also enjoys easy access to established mining infrastructure, including road networks and multiple third-party processing plants.
Auravelle is planning a second aircore program to generate more targets early in 2026, to be followed up with deeper reverse circulation drilling once aircore results are in hand.
