The two diamond holes, which will be co-funded by the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme, will target large magnetic anomalies at Coogee North and Coogee West.

Both targets are considered prospective for intrusive-related gold-copper mineralisation and have not previously been drill tested at depth.

Javelin Minerals (ASX:JAV) is also finalising heritage clearance approvals for new reverse circulation and aircore drilling programs over the main Coogee gold-copper mineralised corridors.

Work programs have started on the new Coogee South tenements with the compilation of historical data and the acquisition of magnetic and gravity geophysical datasets.

Coogee currently has a resource of 3.6Mt grading 1.08g/t gold, or 127,000oz of contained gold, and 1Mt at 0.41% copper, or 4122t of contained copper.

The planned 800m diamond hole at Coogee North will test a large magnetic anomaly that lies beneath the existing mineral resource and is modelled to sit about 700m below surface.

While previous RC drilling returned high-grade results such as 5m at 14.22g/t gold from 143m, modelling found this work did not test the main source of the geophysical resource.

Drilling will test the interpreted source of the anomaly while providing geological data to improve understanding of the broader mineralised system.

At Coogee West, a planned 1000m diamond hole will test an interpreted intrusive body modelled at about 450-600m below surface.

While surface geochemistry is ineffective due to transported sediments, historical shallow aircore drilling identified widespread bedrock gold anomalism across an area of about 900m by 500m.

JAV also plans to carry out RC and aircore dilling across the main Coogee mineralised corridor during the second half of 2026.

The RC program at Coogee North will target extensions to previously identified high-grade gold and gold-copper shoots that host most of the current mineral resource.

Previous drilling returned results including 5m at 14.22g/t gold from 143m and 4m at 1.91% copper from 144m in hole CORC163, while hole CORC171 intersected 7m at 6.42g/t gold and 7m at 2.54% copper from 108m.

Aircore drilling will target several magnetic anomalies west of the existing Coogee-Coogee North trend that have seen little systematic drill testing despite historical drilling returning up to 23m at 0.38g/t gold.

JAV has also secured options over two adjoining tenements, lifting the Coogee project area to more than 63km2.

The larger optioned tenement is south of the project area and covers the southeastern extension of the corridor that hosts the priority CG-08 exploration target.

It consists of mafic and sedimentary lithologies, with several mapped intrusions to the north including a syenite intrusion.

Work has already begun compiling historical data and integrating magnetic and gravity datasets to identify additional drill targets.

A clear broad shear zone has also been developed through this area, with magnetic contact zones on known intrusions, which are evident in airborne magnetic data.
