The new anomaly, known as Corporate James South, was identified through a soil sampling program.

It lies 3.6km from the first anomaly unveiled earlier this month at the Corporate James gold prospect.

The spatial relationship of the new anomaly to the granite-greenstone contact mirrors the geometry seen at Corporate James.

An interpreted gold trend hosting the two anomalies has now been outlined along a 16km strike length.

Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) says the trend remains open along strike and materially expands the footprint of priority drill targets ahead of a planned maiden gold drilling.

The target corridor at Mons is interpreted to extend along a contact that continues for about 85km.

Sampling at Corporate James South also returned multi-element pathfinder signatures, including arsenic, antimony, bismuth, molybdenum, tellurium, tungsten and silver.

“These are more extremely promising results which further highlight the strong gold potential emerging at Mons,” managing director Luke Hampson said.

“They confirm that the Corporate James gold prospect does not stop at the edge of our original discovery.”

“Finding a coherent, multi-element anomaly 3.6km to the south-west tells us the corridor is larger than initially mapped and reinforces our confidence in the scale of this discovery.”

The Mons tenure sits about 370km northeast of Perth and is interpreted to host a previously unidentified greenstone belt.

Early works at the project have revealed a string of targets prospective for base, critical and precious metals.

Exploration in the northern half of the tenure has already delivered two notable discoveries, namely the Block 3 gallium and rare earths find and the Masson copper-nickel-PGE sulphide prospect.

Late last year, Nimy reported a maiden resource estimate for Block 3, totalling 7.23Mt at 102g/t Ga2O3 and 538ppm TREO.

The MRE only covers 0.4km2 at surface and does not include known mineralisation beneath 100m. An exploration target for the prospect estimated at up to 26Mt at 100g/t Ga2O3 and 100Mt at 810ppm TREO.

Block 3 is currently progressing through a scoping study, with results expected in the coming weeks.

More broadly, near-term exploration efforts are expected to focus on the Block 3 resource, the Masson discovery, and now the newly identified Corporate James gold trend.
