Now able to access priority target areas identified through a review of historical data, the company is fast-tracking its initial on-ground field work programs.

A follow-up program is now underway at Kookabookra, with the company recently completing soil sampling to help it identify drill targets for testing in Q3 2025.

Assay results from the first-pass rock chip sampling program at Rockvale and Kookabookra confirmed the presence of significant gold, antimony and silver mineralisation recorded in historical data.

“We are encouraged by the results from the very first on-ground sampling undertaken by the company at these strategically located projects,” executive chair George Ventouras said.

“Given that the area is largely untested by drilling and modern exploration techniques, the potential for a discovery is considerable,” he said.

Mr Ventouras said the company’s exploration team now has a clear pathway forward.

“The company’s projects are located in the middle of an exploration hotspot – with the likes of Larvotto Resources’ (ASX: LRV) Hillgrove project and Koonenberry Gold’s (ASX: KNB) Enmore project located in close proximity – we are perfectly positioned to provide investors with the opportunity for another regional discovery.”

“Against the backdrop of continued positive investor sentiment for gold, antimony and silver, we are looking forward to advancing these projects as quickly as possible while maintaining a systematic approach to exploration,” he added.

Thunderburd is expecting results from the geochemical soil sampling program it recently completed at Kookabookra in five to six weeks.

Elsewhere, the company is considering an induced polarisation survey in the area of the Mannix and Mt Secret prospects to help it identify drill targets in areas where conventional soil geochemistry may be less effective.

It anticipates finalising agreements later this month that will enable access to additional sections of the eastern part of the Kookabookra project, specifically the historical Bear Hill and Butchers Reef workings.
