The company — which holds the Joule, Aero and Aqua projects in the region’s La Grande Greenstone Belt in the titular Canadian region — joined the likes of James Bay-focused lithium plays Patriot Battery Metals and Peter Coleman-chaired Allkem when it listed on the ASX on Tuesday.

Shares in the Canadian explorer had initially been offered at 20¢ each. They closed trade at 30¢ each on Tuesday.

James Bay’s strong start to trading comes one day after fellow Canadian explorer Novo Resources made its own splash on the local bourse.

Though based in Canada, Novo’s focus is on the Pilbara region, where it is aiming to get the Becher gold project off the ground.
