The testwork involved BIOX, Albion and concentrate sales processing routes.
The latter would provide a relatively low capex and simplified flowsheet solution, with the trade-off being the production of a less valuable product and hence lower revenue.
Scoping work completed in 2022 included a concentrate processing scenario that was costed at $99 million upfront and capable of delivering annual payable metal of 71,000oz at an all-in-sustaining-cost of $1538/oz.
Rox said the recent testwork results “highlight strong gold recoveries to a concentrate and exceptional recoveries from low oxidation rates in both BIOX® and Albion® technologies”.
Located 480km northeast of Perth, Youanmi has 2.3 million ounce at 4.4 grams per tonne gold within various deposits.
Rox has been on the ground at Youanmi for five years, with current managing director Robert Ryan appointed in October 2022.
Rox, which had $2.4 million cash at the end of the March quarter, recently raised $6.2 million in an entitlement issue that priced new shares at 16.5c each.
