The best results from 22 new holes included 32m (estimated true width 22m) at 2.2 grams per tonne palladium, platinum and gold (3E), 0.2% nickel, 0.2% copper and 0.01% cobalt (or 1% nickel equivalent) from 88m, including 24m (ETW 16.5m) at 2.6gpt 3E, 0.2% nickel, 0.2% copper and 0.01% cobalt (1.2% NiEq); and 59.1m (ETW 40m) at 1.3gpt 3E, 0.1% nickel, 0.1% copper and 0.01% cobalt (0.7% NiEq) from 133m, including 28m (ETW 19m) at 1.6gpt 3E, 0.2% nickel, 0.2% copper and 0.01% cobalt (0.8% NiEq).

The nearby Gonneville resource stands at 560 million tonnes at 0.88gpt 3E, 0.16% nickel, 0.09% copper and 0.015% cobalt, or 0.54% NiEq or 1.7gpt palladium equivalent.

Both Gonneville and Hooley are part of the broader Julimar system.

“Drilling has continued to intersect mineralised ultramafic-mafic intrusive rock types from very wide-spaced sites, further demonstrating the considerable size of the Julimar mineral system and the possibility of localised high-grade zones,” Chalice said.

The company is planning further drilling at Hooley, as well as initial drilling of the untested Baudin-Jansz-Torres targets.

New extensional results outside the Gonneville resource included 125.8m at 2.8gpt 3E, 0.2% nickel, 0.2% copper and 0.02% cobalt (1.2% NiEq) from 396m, including 34m at 7gpt 3E, 0.2% nickel, 0.6% copper and 0.02% cobalt (2.9% NiEq).

Chalice has four diamond rigs working at Julimar with exploration to continue as the company advances feasibility work and searches for a potential partner or partners.
