Overnight Pilbara Minerals reported the results of its latest spodumene concentrate auction via its digital Battery Material Exchange platform.
Pilbara intends to accept the highest bid of US$7805 per dry metric tonne for a cargo of 5000 tonnes of 5.5% lithium, free-on-board Port Hedland.
On a pro rata basis for lithia content and inclusive of freight costs, it equates to a record price of about $8575/dmt for 6% spodumene, cost and freight China basis.
